Oh it burns as it goes down
You try to numb the pain
But it still remains
The ones who still care
You push them all away
Just can’t face the shame
Blood is thicker than wine
You are unable to see your own decline.
The truth reveals with time
Will you ever find a way
To hold that line
Another promise broken
Your stories always change
But they always end the same
There is only so much time
For you to change your ways
And try to set things straight
Oh this could be alright
If you go one day at a time.

I heard of these guys after an acquaintance picked up their vinyl and gave it a spin. "The Forest Church" had me hooked immediately. caffeinatedmetalhead
OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
